Launched in 2019, the hotel industry’s first urban aquaponics farm at Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford aims to meet the rising demand among guests for fresh quality produce and to support Singapore’s goal of producing 30% of its nutritional needs locally by 2030.
Through this curated experience, participants will learn about the sustainability initiatives at Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford before a tour of the aquaponics farm. At the farm, guests will learn about the technology behind aquaponics, try some produce and feed the fish.
At the end of the tour, participants will bring home a microgreens kit to try their hands at growing their own produce to prompt them to rethink about their food sources. Guests will have the option to add a meal at one of their 12 restaurants and bars to complete their experience.
Each private tour is priced at S$350++ for a maximum of 10 participants per session. Meal options are available separately on request.
